It’s an ideal time to get to know Brockencote Hall even better!! TWO AWARDS IN ONE NIGHT! With a list of awards as long as your arm, Brockencote Hall has become a very badly kept secret and quite rightly so! Officially in the We have now been awarded the ‘Worcestershire Life’ ‘Restaurant of the Year’ award and chef Didier Philipot has won the ‘Chef of the Year’ award for 2008 at a glittering event at the Three Counties Showground recently. We were delighted to win one award, but two was exceptional. We have recently extended our restaurant so we can seat up to 80 guests in the same dining room, in response to the demand from people to dine with us, clearly great fans of the excellent cuisine that Didier creates in our kitchens, so this is even more pleasing for that! Friday 19th September sees the visit to Brockencote Hall of Ralph Allin with his talented quintet playing a wonderful collection of jazz music based on the stunning talents of Stephane Grapelli. Enjoy an aperitif, a three course dinner with wine and a scintillating programme of music with Ralph in the lovely surroundings of Brockencote Hall. Pure heaven! The evening begins at And a chance to learn glass making – a new one day course here! In our last email newsletter update we introduced you to the idea of attending a glass making course here at Brockencote Hall. We flagged up that later in the year we would be holding a one day course run by the designer who designed the stained glass in the conservatory here. Well now we have a date for this – it will be held on xxxth xxxxxx. The course will start with coffee on arrival at OTHER EVENTS FOR YOUR DIARY: Brockencote Wine Club: Monday 29th September; Thursday 27th November Come and listen to Philippe Boucheron, Worcestershire wine journalist and broadcaster’s entertaining and relaxed insight into the world of wine. 2 course supper with wine to follow - £37-50 inclusive per person Organic Gardening: Tuesday 23rd September Two course lunch and coffee with aperitif and wine followed by a talk from Beverley McHugh on ‘Organic Gardening for the environment’. Come and listen to Bev – a member of the Soil Association, who has her own Soil Association certified organic garden where she produces herbs and plants for local restaurants. Inspiring! £25-00 per person. Gourmet Evenings: Friday November 7th Just the one this year left with any spaces! Book quickly so as not to be disappointed!
